Novel Energy Solutions installs Community Solar Gardens for businesses ranging from family farms to entities with large rooftops or unused land. A CSG is a centralized solar project, connected to the energy grid that provides energy to multiple subscribers. NES is looking for a dedicated, ambitious, and experienced Sales Associate to represent the company in a professional and polite manner while educating prospects and customers on the value of our products and services.

What You'll Do

  • Represent NES in a professional, positive manner while educating prospects and customers on the value of our products and services.
  • Track inbound leads and respond within one hour of lead submission to CRM.
  • Generate additional leads via community partnerships, social media, networking events, and open houses.
  • Manage the CRM database to be as efficient and effective with prospects as possible.
  • Develop customized presentation material.
  • Meet with customers to review the presentation material and the Community Solar Garden Program.
  • Meet with other key decision makers.
  • Obtain consent from customer to retrieve utility usage information.
  • Schedule and complete follow up meetings to answer questions and to move the process forward.
  • Prepare contracts and customize as necessary.
  • Obtain signatures and financial statements.
  • Schedule and complete follow-up meetings with customers as the process gets closer to COD—amendments, estoppels, billing questions, transition to new owners, etc.
  • Have a basic understanding of all of NES’ offerings, so leads may be passed along to other departments within Novel.
  • Refine methods to reduce customer acquisition cost without sacrificing quality.
  • Provide insight and suggestions to NES team when appropriate.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • 2 years’ experience in a sales position.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with CRM software.

Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Experience in solar or renewable energy field.
  • Experience with Hubspot CRM.
