The sales intern increases productivity in our sales team members by assisting with paperwork completion, warm lead generation, and schedule management.

What You'll Do

  • 70% Represent NES in a professional, positive manner while educating prospects and customers on the value of our products and services.
  • Key tasks will be to generate new leads through prospecting via canvassing, cold calls, social media, networking events, and open houses.
  • Meet with customers to review the presentation material and the MN Residential Community Solar Garden Program.
  • Have a basic understanding of all of NES’ offerings, so leads may be passed along to other departments within Novel.
  • 30% Manage the CRM database to be as efficient and effective with prospects as possible.
  • Manage office supplies and printing of leases and sales materials.
  • Prepare contracts— customize, as necessary.
  • Obtain signatures and financial statements.
  • Be available for on-call field support.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • Sales experience preferred, but drive, work ethic, and team fit are essential. We are willing to train the right person
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clean driving record

Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience in renewable energy
  • Experience using CRM software
  • Inside sales experience
